FAQ

Starting Basics

Cardio drumming uses a yoga ball on top of a bucket and drumsticks. It combines cardio exercise and drumming to the rhythm of the music in an effective workout. This workout is a fun, fast-paced way to get your heart rate up, improve your rhythm, and burn calories. People of all ages, fitness levels, and abilities can Cardio Drum, and there are many health benefits to this modifiable workout!

Our workouts are an hour long, with a cool-down period at the end. You will hear a great playlist of music from all genres, varying based on the day. We have a stage up front with leads that will demonstrate the workout for each song for you to follow along to. The group is high energy, and you will get a great cardio workout in!

We provide the equipment (bucket, ball, and drumsticks)! Just bring yourself & water (and maybe a towel)!

Our classes are all walk-in, so there is no need to sign up ahead of time! Just show up at least 15 minutes early for your first class, so we can give you an introduction to drumming.

Your first class is free and we provide the equipment!

Cardio Drumming is for everyone! It is for all fitness levels and any age or ability. Though we have leads who demonstrate routines, everyone is welcome to modify to what is best for themselves. You will see different modifications throughout the group in every class! Everyone is welcome - sitting, standing, jumping, and everything in between.

Lead Volunteering

Cardio Drumming is completely volunteer-based, so our classes are based on a team of Leads who create drumming routines for the rest of the class to follow. Our Leads put in a lot of time and effort to create routines with great music, high energy, and a variety of exercises for the best workout. We would love to have you lead songs, too! Please inquire at the Club to get connected with one of the current Leads, who can help you understand the process and get started on your routine. Or, find the list of current Leads on the Leads page, and seek out one of these friendly faces to get you started!
